The Bare Truth Podcast
'The Bare Truth' is a celebration of the extraordinary in day-to-day living, from the unsung hero to those on a bigger stage. Each week, Julia interviews someone from a different area of interest who is passionate about what they do, who is expressing themselves in their own unique way, and who wants to share what they do with others.
Please feel free to contact Julia with any comments about the show, or if you would like to be interviewed yourself. We also include contact details of our guests where possible - if you'd like more information, why not get in touch?

As I came into the last stetch of the Nice marathon last November, a familiar voice was calling from the crowd: ’1000 metres to go Julia – 2 and half laps of the track.’ As a former track athlete, no.1 in the Navy for 8 years, Mike was speaking in a language he knew I would recognise, having also begun my career as a track runner. All those reps on a track does make you think in distances as laps of the track – and the sound of the bell has a very welcome ring to it. Mike’s voice that day was the bell at the end of 26 miles, encouraging me to get that last bit out before the finishing tape – and this is the case in many people’s lives. He spends his days inspiring others to reach higher than they thought possible, helping them to stretch beyond what they previously thought they could do and in the process creating a community spirit with his individual personal training, early morning circuit sessions by the sea and the Wednesday night running group.
